New Year, Lets Get Started!

Hey y'all,

First, we want to thank you all for being such a blessing in our lives. We are so thankful looking back on where our group has come from, and where God will take it in 2012. Each and everyone of you are a blessing in our lives and we count you among our closest friends. We pray everyone has a BLESSED New Year's Eve, and remember as you are celebrating with family and friends, "And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father" -Col 3:17.

Secondly, I know that Berna & Horia are still in Romania, but everyone else is back and with us (the Franklins leave soon for their mission trip). I am putting the food rotation out there again, kinda starting fresh since we now have some new members, etc. The rotation will be as follows:

When you bring entree, your name the next week will go down to the bottom, and you will work your way back up. Looks like you will be responsible for entree once every 9 weeks. Not bad, and thanks for ALL the delicious food you guys have brought us!

FYI...It's Christmas!!!

If you haven't noticed, The Shiver family loves Christmas. It is the most joyous celebration of Christ's humble beginning on this earth. We "Griswold" our house, have parties, buy a lot of stuff, cancel small group, and hopefully increase awareness of what the season is all about. (Wait, what was that I said? Cancel small group?) We are going to cancel small group this week - sort of. Instead of meeting at our house we are going to meet at a restaurant and fellowship there. Most groups take a few weeks off during the holidays because people are out of town and everyone is busy, etc. I thought about doing that, but decided better of it because we like you all and want to be with you. We will take a vote between now and noon tomorrow about where to go so please let me know where you would like to go and the highest votes wins.

Golden Coral - something for everyone- easy to split the checks- and cheap.

Small Group Christmas... Tues Dec. 13th

Hi all! Sorry I haven't gotten this out sooner! This has been a crazy week for us, thank you all for the prayers and texts/emails. You all are wonderful and we are so thankful for you!!!!

That being said, we are ON for Tuesday, and plan to celebrate!!! We will be having a Mexican food potluck. This menu requires your involvement! Please EMAIL or TEXT me to sign up for one of the items below. Tim & Elena are making us the delicious entree. Let me know by Sunday night what you want to bring and I will bring whatever is left over! Also, this is a fellowship night, so plan on bringing your kids, family, etc. Also, if you are NOT coming, please also email me with that so I know.

I've got tortillas covered already. This is first come first served so if you have something you want to bring, text or email me asap!


Also, this is our white elephant exchange. Find something cool (or even not cool) around your house that you are willing to part with. Wrap it up, bring it here and place it under the tree. Anyone who would like to receive a white elephant should bring one.

Lastly, this is our last week to bring gifts for the Morales'. Many of you have chosen to do gift cards and that is great. Whatever you are getting, please bring it on Tuesday. Tuesday night we will sign up for the meal we are going to give them. We planned to deliver it on Wednesday, but we will see what night would be best for them.

Small Group--December 6th--CANCELLED :(

Hey ya'll,

Sorry for having to cancel in the middle of our study on Tuesday but thanks for understanding. Unfortunately, we have to cancel next Tuesday. Grandpa Chrone's funeral is on Tuesday at 1pm, and we will have a lot of family in town and a reception after the funeral on Tuesday, so we will not be home in time to host. Thanks for all your support, we will meet again on the 13th for our white elephant exchange and our Christmas party. More to come on that next week. We miss you guys, take care and as always call us if you need anything!!!
